Spring???? Oh not so sure, but happily working on the spring and summer Art Walk series. The fun has begun and time to focus on all that is renewing itself. With the summer fishing just around the corner I better get cracking and put paint down now. I need to get back into the swing… (yes pun intended) of the double hander and some great steelhead fishing this year. Meanwhile tho I have to stay focused on the shear pleasure of just painting and getting some new works ready to go out the door.
Spent a bit of time exploring the islands of Puget Sound in the pacific northwest paintings last spring and finding pretty scenes to capture in my minds eye. I saw some of the most wonderful sunsets looking back out over the Olympics and the wonderful sunset light that fell out across the waters of Puget Sound. One evening as we were taking a ferry back to the mainland, enjoying one such sunset of grandeur, I turned around and looked back to the east and saw the sunset highlighting the Madrona Trees and they were glowing in that special light while everything around them seemed so bright. I have always loved the tall lanky Madrona trees and the magnificent color they display. I am happily working on this Madrona Sunset.
Make sure to check out the new work recently posted and the flower card series. Happy spring. Meanwhile you can find this print and my other landscapes paintings at Fine Art America.
Come back often and we will be posting the new schedule once the Art Walk Series schedule is firmed up.
